Digital Evidence & Investigations

Digital Evidence Analysis for Court Cases & Investigations.

Digital evidence can help establish activity, reconstruct timelines, identify relevant files or system events and explain what happened. We analyse the electronic evidence supplied for the case; the examination depends on the allegation, device, available data and lawful authority to conduct the analysis.

Important: Investigative and forensic work is accepted only where the client has a lawful basis and appropriate authority to provide the device, account or information for examination.
Court & Case Analysis

How We Analyse Digital Evidence.

Our role is to analyse the digital evidence in the defined case and communicate what the technology shows. We do not replace the court, investigator or legal team; we provide the technical analysis they can evaluate.

01

Case Scoping

We establish the allegation, questions to be answered, available devices or records and the lawful authority for the examination.

02

Technical Examination

Relevant computers, storage media, files, logs, CCTV/DVR/NVR storage, telematics exports or other supplied digital records are examined within scope.

03

Artifact & Timeline Analysis

We analyse timestamps, file activity, deletions, system events and other relevant digital artifacts to reconstruct or test the sequence of events.

04

Findings & Correlation

Technical observations are correlated with the case questions so that relevant findings, limitations and inconsistencies are clearly identified.

05

Formal Reporting

Where required, findings are presented in a structured technical report and can be explained for investigators, management, legal teams or formal proceedings.

Recovery Capabilities

We Recover Lost Data From.

From everyday deleted files to complex storage failures, we select the recovery procedure after assessing the media, failure condition and the type of data required.

Virgin Cases Preferred: Previous recovery attempts can reduce the chances of success or cause further damage. If a drive is failing, stop using it and contact a specialist before trying additional recovery tools.

Data Loss First Response

What To Do Immediately
After Media Failure.

The first few actions can affect the recovery outcome. Our guidance is simple: stop using failed media, avoid repeated recovery attempts and get specialist advice early when the data matters.

✓

Do This

  • Shut down the device when a drive starts failing, clicking or disappearing.
  • Stop writing new data to a device after accidental deletion or formatting.
  • Contact a recovery specialist early before using repair utilities on important data.
  • Describe exactly what happened — drop, burn, format, deletion, encryption, power failure or other symptoms.
  • Keep the media safe and avoid unnecessary handling until it is assessed.
×

Avoid This

  • Do not repeatedly power on a clicking or physically failing drive.
  • Do not open a hard drive outside appropriate specialist procedures.
  • Do not install recovery software onto the same drive you are trying to recover.
  • Do not keep copying new files onto media after accidental deletion.
  • Do not allow multiple unstructured recovery attempts on a critical case.
!

When Recovery May Be Impossible

Overwritten data: when new data has overwritten the same storage area, the previous information may no longer be recoverable.

Catastrophic platter damage: severe physical damage to hard-drive platters can make full or partial recovery impossible.

Every case is assessed individually. A failure symptom alone is not enough to guarantee or rule out recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Common questions about assessment, recovery times, fees, confidentiality and case handling.

Our standard recovery period is 72 hours. However, complex cases involving severe physical damage or RAID arrays may take longer due to parts availability or the need for specialized procedures. We provide time estimates during the evaluation phase.

We charge a K10,000 evaluation and troubleshooting fee which is non-refundable. This covers the initial diagnostics, damage assessment, and preparation of a detailed recovery quote. No recovery work begins without your explicit approval of the quote.

Our recorded track record is more than 90% of cases received solved, but no professional recovery company can guarantee every case. Overwritten data and catastrophic physical media damage may be unrecoverable. We assess the actual device before confirming feasibility.

We only accept devices where no prior recovery attempt has been made. Previous attempts can cause additional damage, reduce recovery chances, and complicate recovery procedures. This policy protects the first professional recovery attempt.

Yes. We maintain strict confidentiality protocols, and confidentiality arrangements can be provided for sensitive information and organisational matters. Recovered data and digital-evidence material are handled according to the applicable case and data-handling terms.

Yes. We analyse digital evidence supplied for authorised court cases, criminal matters, corporate investigations and other formal proceedings. The exact work depends on the case questions, the available devices or records and the lawful authority for the examination.

Shut the device down, stop repeated attempts to make the drive work and do not open the hard drive. If the lost data matters, avoid writing anything new to the media and contact a specialist as early as possible.

The recovery service fee is not charged if data is not recovered. The separate K10,000 evaluation and troubleshooting fee shown on the current price list remains non-refundable because it covers the assessment and quotation process.

We accept payments via National Bank transfer and other arrangements can be discussed for corporate clients. Payment details are confirmed on the applicable invoice or quotation.
